from 21-27 October 2024
The 2024 Swiss Indoors Basel is an indoor hard-court ATP 500 tennis tournament that will take place at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The competition started in 1970 when Klaus Berger of Germany won the championship and the inaugural prize for a wristwatch. The competition immediately gained popularity and, following a brief stay in the neighboring town of Reinach, found its current permanent home in 1975 in the St. Jakobshalle's indoor hard courts. A Basel native, Federer holds the tournament singles record with 10 victories at the Swiss Indoors.
The Swiss Indoors was returned in October 2022, following a cancellation in 2021 due to the coronavirus epidemic.
